Messy Art Lab COVID-19 Safety Protocols:

The following measures are being taken to keep staff and artists safe while visiting the studio.

For Private Sessions (Open Studio):

  • We welcome family and friends of one household who are strictly social distancing together to book our studio for private Open Studio sessions.

  • Staff, children and families presenting with any covid symptoms must stay home.

  • Temperatures will be taken at the door using a touchless thermometer. Any person with a temperature over 100 F will not be allowed to enter the studio that day. We recommend taking your temperature at your home prior to coming to Messy Art Lab.

  • All adults and children 2 and up are required to wear mask in order to enter the studio. We will not provide face masks, so we ask that families provide one for their child. Our staff will also have personal face masks.

  • We are a shoe-free environment.

  • When entering Messy Art Lab please wash your hands.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available on each area. We will ask everyone to have clean and sanitized hands before touching any shared material.

  • Frequent hand washing will be encouraged.

  • Staff will disinfect and clean all surfaces, floors and materials between sessions and allow at least one hour to ventilate the space.

  • We are dramatically increasing the amount of supplies and materials that we utilize, so that all supplies can either be quarantined for a period of 7 days or completely wiped down and sanitized prior to use on a next private session.

  • To increase ventilation we keep available window, front and back doors open at all times while the studio is in use.

  • We have installed several air purifiers using HEPA filters in every area of the studio.

  • We allow at least 1 hour between bookings to ventilate our space.

  • To increase ventilation we keep windows and back doors open at all times.*

  • We have installed several air purifiers using HEPA filters in every area of the studio.*

  • Frequent hand washing will be encouraged.

  • Hand sanitizer and extra masks are provided

  • Offer ample opportunity for outdoor activities

  • All students and staff members are screened everyday with a no-touch thermometer before entering the program

  • Children need to wear a face covering at all times, except for meal times, which happen outdoors (weather permitting).

Camps and After School will be held outdoors only (wether permitted)

We ask of all families and staff members to:

  • Limit your exposure to COVID-19 by following social distancing protocols at all times.

  • Do not bring your child(ren) to the studio if they've had any symptoms of illness, or had contact with someone suspected to have COVID-19, or with a confirmed case of COVID-19

  • Wear a face covering when dropping off and picking up your child(ren) outside of the studio.

Our community is very careful and conscientious of the shared responsibility of following the recommended precautions and maintaining a healthy pod. As an FYI, here is a quick guide to the steps and procedures for when someone has suspected or confirmed COVID-19.
