Our company is seeking a friendly and hard-working individual to fill our Art Studio Cleaning and Maintenance Associate position. 

 

You should be someone who is flexible, hard-working, proactive, and fast on their feet to help Messy Art Lab studios stay organized and clean. We are open to hiring either part-time or full-time. This position offers a lot of flexibility and is great for a parent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant, school, or care center.

  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 and be willing to wear a mask at work.

  • Be able to lift, pour, and carry supplies and materials up to 50 lbs on a semi-regular basis.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

  • Has strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.

  • Is dependable and able to work with little to no supervision and get their tasks completed. 

  • Takes initiative and responsibility.

  • Can adapt and be flexible. 

  • Is a team player and gets along well with others.

  • Is quick and efficient in their work. 

  • Has a desire to learn and communicates well with others.

Cleaning & Mainenance responsibilities

Part or Full-Time

  • All general cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, restrooms, washing art supplies, taking out the trash, etc.

  • Overall maintenance of the studio, keeping it clean, organized, and working.

  • Assist with set up before studio classes, clean up after classes, and help teachers clean up in between classes.

  • General organization tasks, such as returning art supplies to their designated location, sorting materials, checking inventory.

  • Preparing materials for upcoming classes and events, such as making playdoh, mixing paint, 

  • Preparing and packing for mobile events. 

  • General inventory to ensure materials are available and in stock for teachers so camps and classes run smoothly.

We are open to hiring part or full-time. The minimum is 16 hours a week, maximum 40 hours a week. This job is on-site at our studios in the Inner Sunset neighborhood in San Francisco.
